Seasons Greetings to each and everyone of you! First of all, we would like to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  We hope you have a safe and healthy new year with many blessings.

This year we have been very busy.  I will start with Lisa, the apple of our eye.  This is her first year in high school and she has been looking forward to it for several years now. Well, her dreams have been fulfilled, High School is here, (and I believe our nightmare has begun!) LOL.  She is in the Mighty Brahma Band and began marching in mid-July, 100+ degrees heat and in Texas...that's HELL! She has marched daily and as the T-Shirt says..Sleep, Eat, March and Die! With the time and dedication she has shown in the last few months, We are so very proud of her. Not only winning Sweepstakes and The Crossroads Festivals, but maintaining her Texas Scholars Program with her A/B average. I will also mention that the Famous Mighty Brahma DRUMLINE happen to get Best in 4A at the Crossroads Festivals. The excitement and thrill in those kids voices made all the hard work worth every bit of it. This will be our first year...:( of not being together New Years.  Lisa will be with the Mighty Brahma Band in Dallas, Texas.  Marching in the Cotton Bowl Activities. This will be the event of the year for all the Brahma Band students and we wish them the best of luck! They are excited to be going for a National Title. And we will be excited watching them on T.V!  With all the Band activities going on, She hasn't really had time to do much else. But I believe she will remember these events for years to come and never regret any of it.  She has also been a great help to Mike and me, helping us around the house and across the street. She has been a real sweetie and I don't think she really knows how much we really do appreciate it! We are SO VERY LUCKY and 'Thank the good Lord daily'!  We could not have asked for a better child!

Well, its Mikeys turn, gee....what can I say? J/K... He has been a good boy. When we moved to Kingsville, Texas, All I ever heard was how GREAT Corpus Christi Carroll was (his old high school).  For several years we heard how great this CC Carroll was. Well...now ask him. LOL. We joined the Brahma Band Booster Club this year and Mike put his whole heart into it.  Since he was taking a break from College, he decided to devote some of his time volunteering.  First of all he decided to make a Web-Page for the Brahma Band...that snowballed into a 'whole school project' and still going.  We have decided it will be our project for at least 4 years. With the Brahma's winning and the excitement with the Band, Mike is a whole new BRAHMA FAN! ( I actually heard him say the Brahma Band play better than Carroll ever did) and many other "compliments" like that. I actually think we have recruited a new Brahma for life. Anyway, he hurt his back in June and has slowly been adjusting to the pain and getting around.  He did make it to EVERY game and EVERY band event.  I don't think we could have kept him away from any of it.  I could tell he really enjoyed getting involved and helping when he could. He is such good guy and will help anyone as much as he can.

Hmmm...my turn...(glad I'm writing this!)lol. Well, I have been going crazy! (Worst...some think I am already). I have devoted alot of time to the Brahma Band Booster Club. Mike and I chaperoned and handed out drinks...etc. Most of all, I have been there watching these kids practice and practice, and loving every minute of it. Guess cause I was in the same Band twenty..oooh.(***deep breath***)..many many years ago, there, that's better. And I will be first to admit...THEY ARE BETTER than we were! (ouch...that hurts, ) But I am so very proud of each and everyone of them. They have earned every trophy they have gotten.  I have also been helping Mike design the Web-Site for the Mighty Brahma's.  I didn't go to College, but I have learned a huge amount from watching him. It can really be fun, and is not hard like some people SAY it is. And people actually make big bucks for doing this? I think I would feel guilty taking money for this much fun. (And ANYONE can do it). oh well, we are in the process of some new web-pages. Mike has been helping so many people, we haven't had a whole lot of time for our own. But we will manage. I have also been busy with our favorite animals..."Tickles" is our Cat that Mikes grandmother gave Lisa when she was two....(terrible two's) poor kitty, glad he has nine lives.  He's about on 8 now. He has never been outside and acts as if he hasn't ever missed anything. Very lazy and just kinda laid back type of cat. Does the normal cat things except climb or jump, hates bugs and mice...he will actually hide and cry if he sees anything that "might" get him. (Did I say "Normal"?) No he's not. Anyway, then we have "Odie", he's my baby! We got him from some good friends and he was a little runt, (mostly Bichon Frise) cutest little thing. He found "Tickles" right away and they have been friends every since (about 4 years). Tickles has trained Odie well, He has learned NOT to bug him. Odie is very smart and knows EVERYTHING we tell him, especially 'Let's go to Papaw's'. His favorite place in the whole world. And of course..He AVOIDS Lisa's room...that's the #1 no no. Well, then we got Elvis. Elvis was abandoned by some of my dads renters. He's a huge dog that only likes one kind of meat...ALL.  He's our OUTSIDE security system ,  And we are proud to say we have NEVER had any prowlers or much of anything around .  He doesn't have much of a "favorite place" but his Favorite person is of course is "Papaw".  I keep telling dad its his 'after shave.   Anyway, now we have a new addition...Chewy.  Chewy is a whole 'nother story! This little guy can drive anyone nuts. He such a cutie...a little Yorkie, about 9 months old, and goes 100 miles an hour, ...non stop. I call him a pain in the rear, but he's MIKES DOG!  Poor Odie either gets up high, or hides. For several weeks Odie had no hair on his ears cause Chewy would hang on to them. Then HE found Tickles...'poor old Tickles,( found another "life" to use. ) Chewy would jump off the couch onto the cat, at full speed making them both slide 6 to 8 feet. Tickles not even know what hit him. And then when we get mad at him, he gives us that "sweet little smile", and Mike picks him up and loves on him. ( He doesn't fool Lisa at all, she has his number). Me...ok..he suckers me sometimes, but I do shake my finger at him. bad boy!  And yes...I hold him..a lot. But Mike does too!

Well, so much for OUR WORLD, as you can tell we stay busy, if its not one thing its another, as the our world moves on we hope each and everyone have a safe and happy holiday.  Remember to please let a friend drive if you are drinking...We want you here next year! Merry Christmas to ALL and a Good Night!
